TotalCAE 3.1 Activation Filter for HPC Server Released – Virtual Features, License Reporting and More

TotalCAE, a leading global provider of HPC technology solutions and IT services for engineers, today announced the release of TotalCAE Activation Filter 3.1 (TAF) for Microsoft HPC Server.

TAF enables license aware scheduling on Microsoft HPC Server 2008 R2, and other extended functionality required for many types of technical computing applications.

“With TAF 3.1, we have added even more advanced functionality including support for virtual features, license reporting, and enabled enterprise three tier redudant license support in the community edition.” said TotalCAE Principal Rodney Mach.

Virtual Features – New in 3.1
Applications like ANSYS Mechanical allow an application to start if multiple different FLEXlm features have sufficient tokens. For example if there are enough ANSYS licenses, OR enough ANE3 licenses.

License Reporting – New in 3.1
Engineers like to see the available licenses from all FLExlm and other 3rd party license servers, TAF now can generate these HTML or XML reports for users to see the current license count
